Why Christ the King Lutheran School
A Classical, Christ-Centered Education
At Christ the King Lutheran School, students receive a strong academic education in reading, writing, mathematics, science, history, music, and the arts. Through the time-tested methods of classical education, they learn not only what to know, but how to think with wisdom, integrity, and confidence.
The early elementary years are especially important for building lifelong habits of learning. Students develop strong skills in reading, writing, spelling, and arithmetic while also exploring literature, history, geography, science, art, music, and physical education.
As students grow, they are introduced to the seven classical liberal arts—the traditional framework of a classical education—which helps them think critically, communicate clearly, and appreciate the order and beauty of God’s creation.
Christ at the Center of All Learning
At Christ the King Lutheran School, faith is woven into every part of the school day. Students begin each day with chapel, Scripture, prayer, and hymns, and they learn to see every subject through the truth of God’s Word.
As students study the Bible and memorize Scripture and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, they grow in their understanding of God’s love, His promises, and their identity as His children. Our goal is not only academic excellence, but also a lifelong foundation of faith in Jesus Christ.
A School Community Rooted in Christian Character
Education shapes more than the mind—it also shapes the heart. At Christ the King Lutheran School, students are encouraged to grow in Christian character as they learn to love God and serve their neighbors.
Rooted in God’s Word, students are taught to pursue what is true, good, and beautiful, growing in:
They are also introduced to the classical virtues of prudence, justice, temperance, and fortitude. Together, these virtues help students become thoughtful, disciplined, compassionate young people who are prepared to serve their families, churches, and communities with wisdom and integrity.

One of the advantages of a Christ the King Lutheran School education is the opportunity for teachers to truly know each student. Our experienced educators build meaningful relationships with children and families, allowing them to encourage academic growth, nurture Christian character, and provide the individual attention every child deserves.
